Simply.
I can’t help you with the root cause of the attacks, but to help with the physical effects once you’ve recognised that it is a panic attack, controlled deep breathing works wonders for me.
Empty your lungs. Pause for a count of 3. Breathe SLOWLY in for a count of 10. Pause for a count of 3. Breathe all the way out SLOWLY for a count of 10. Repeat until you feel calm.
It usually take about 5 minutes to work, occasionally a little longer.
I know it sounds too simple and a little silly, but it works for me. Give it a try – if it works, terrific; if it doesn’t, it’s cost you five minutes and given you something to think about.
It seems to work by imposing a slow but natural rhythm on the brain, replacing the out of control feelings of panic.
Good luck.

One way is to change your diet a bit. Avoid things like caffeine, alcohol, and sugar and eat a more balanced diet. I have linked to a page on specific food recommendations. Hope this helps you!

First understand why and what causes your attacks, avoid situations that make you feel this way. Take a deep breath and walk away from what stresses you and triggers this. Understanding the situation first and finding the solution immediately. Ex: At work your boss puts pressure on you for something you did not do his way, solution, find a job that involves less stress and less judgement. Not easy I know but over time these situations will become less and less if you find out what truly is bothering you first. Make changes and find happiness, it can be achieved. Put a circle of energy around you, avoid negativity and situations that cause your blood pressure to rise. Ex: Kids are arguing, remove yourself from the room and go into another or just simply go for a walk.

One of the things that really helped me was to cut out caffeine strictly. Including drinks such as Lucozade, Dr Pepper etc )always read the label for caffeine content). I now only drink decaf tea/coffee.
Another thing which not many people belive in is the use of semi-precious stones. use a stone called Sodalite (which can be easily bought on Ebay & new age shops). simply carry it with u or if u buy it as jewellery it’s even better as u can wear it all the time. I found when I had a panic attack & simply held the stone for 5-10 mins & breathed in deeply, it calmed my panic attack.
makes sure u cleanse it first & also every few months by placing it in brown rice for 24 hours 8u can still eat the rice after).
Another important thing which I have read about from several trustworthy sources, is the use of deep breathing. If u can remember, take a few deep breaths (or as much as u can) every few hours or every day set aside 10-15 mins to simply just sit down & take deep breaths.& of course whenever u do get a panic attack (if u can as I know it’s very hard to do anything when u get a panic attack).
Breathe into ur stomach & ut solar plexus, hold for count of 4, hold for 4 & exhale for 4.
I really hope u try the above as I know how bad & horrible panic attacks are & crippling.I really feel for u…
love & light & wish u heal from this,
xx

Go to your library and look up relaxation cds- guided meditations, self hypnosis. It really works, as far as relaxing you and calming a panic attack.
